    截止閥的種類很多，根據閥桿上螺紋的位置可分：
    一、上螺紋閥桿截止閥
    截止閥閥桿的螺紋在閥體的外面。其優點是閥桿不受介質侵蝕，便于潤滑，此種結構采用比較普遍。
    二、下螺紋閥桿截止閥
    截止閥閥桿的螺紋在閥體內。這種結構閥桿螺紋與介質直接接觸，易受侵蝕，并無法潤滑。此種結構用于小口徑和溫度不高的地方。
    根據截止閥的通道方向，又可分為；直通式截止閥，角式截止閥和三通式截止閥，后兩種截止閥通常做改變介質流向和分配介質用。
